Well I did post there was nowhere specifically to discuss the new Gold Star 650 but I have now discovered the comments in this section.

In my opinion, I think it's best to judge the new Gold Star 650 on it's own merits and price point. My example forms part of a 'small classic fleet' and it gives me a lovely relaxed riding experience that takes me back in time. Unfortunately, I am not that bright and can only cope with left-hand gear change, which limits my BSA options.

Given the used cost of this model, buying some bits which considerably improve the bike, hardly breaks the bank and still makes them a worthwhile purchase. Plus given the 4-year warranty it is probably a safe bet.

I would appreciate other Gold Star 650 owners views?

I would be interested in feedback on the below.

Spotting a full page advert advocating that 'NEW' BSA Gold Star 650 owners where welcome to the BSA Owners Club I joined.

When inquiring where there was any information regarding the new model, the then Chairman advised they were only interested in the older bikes!

Being involved with both Triumph & Norton where the new models have equal attention, I was disappointed.

Am I missing something?
