Singles / I'm a Bellend B33 Oil feed tube
07 July, 2024, 12:55:06
In an attempt to get the timing right on my B33 plunger I took off the timing side cover and damaged the crank shaft oil feed tube.
When I say damaged I mean snapped it at the shoulder ..

First off how hard is it to remove before I get all caveman with it. And where can I get a new tube ?

Cheers ..

Singles / C15 road gearing ?

Hi

I have looked but the BSA gearing chart I can find is for competition gearing, what would be a good all round sprocket
combo for road use.

Singles / more mag stuff again sorry.
12 March, 2023, 14:21:16
hiya

just a small one for anyone with the knowledge,
I have taken my magneto out again and with a spark plug in the HT lead I can get a spark
just with turning by hand, easily.

What is bothering me is that I feel almost no resistance from the internal magnets ?

I bought an old unit from ebay that is for a twin cylinder thinking I might rob some parts from it
but turning that one by hand there is a noticeable magnet resistance when turning it by hand, so
much so that I have to put a spanner on the shaft..

should i send it off for re-magentizing even though it sparks ?

Singles / can i drill my crank ?
01 March, 2023, 18:16:59
hiya all

I want to use a timing wheel on the end of the crank but there is only the centering hole in the
crank end, would it be ok if I drill out the crank end and tap it to about 6mm ish so i can fix the
timing wheel on there. I wouldn't go too deep, maybe 1/2"

Singles / Mag spark
16 February, 2023, 18:42:19
hi all

Finally got the mag sparking and it is pretty bright at the spark plug, the only thing that bothers me is the spark
is yellow not blue ?
Bike still won't start so wondering if the spark colour is an indication of anything ?
