2500 MORE BSA PHOTOGRAPHS NOW AVAILABLE IN MEMBERS AREA ON THE WEBSITE …. Following from the initial 1000 or so historic photo’s which were added to the website a while back, the number has now swollen to over 3500.  The photographs range from pre-war models, to war time and post war (to the end of BSA).  As well as pictures of the machines in the factory and on publicity shoots (great for restoration references), there are also images of prototypes and specials, sectioned models and engines, BSA in sporting action, personalities, and “in and around” the BSA factory. They have been grouped into 45 albums, and can be viewed in the Members Area on the website - https://www.bsaownersclub.co.uk/member/bsa-albums (so you do need to be a member of the BSAOC to log in).

The Star and Garter / Help with Funeral Send off
« on: 10 July, 2022, 19:11:32 »
Posting for Patrick Jarrett .... Can anyone help???
We unexpectedly lost our father 2 weeks ago and we are trying our best to do him proud .
I have managed to check the reg of his old BSA Lightning and was absolutely blown away to learn it is still insured so likely on the road .
If the stars align and I’m able to make contact with the current owner I would like to ask if they would be happy to join us for my dads final ride . I know it’s a big ask ! But wouldn’t it be wonderful! .
Equally if any other riders (of old or new) would be free on the morning of dads funeral and are local enough to Dudley in the West Midlands we would be delighted if you would also be kind enough to join us for dads last ride .
Thank you so much for reading I know it’s a big ask 🙏🏻
If anyone would be kind enough to help celebrate my dads love of all things 2 wheels please reach out to me
Details are
BSA LIGHTNING Clubman
REG : EOJ650C
YEAR : 1965
Date of funeral 19th July 10am
departing DY2 0DA in Dudley at about 9:20am
Then heading to
Waseley hills crematorium
This will be about a 15 minute ride
Thank you again
Patrick

The Star and Garter / Photo Albums on Website
« on: 14 December, 2021, 09:44:01 »
For those that have not spotted it - a new feature on the website is a number of photo albums showing copies from the Club's library.  Access to these is via the Members Area - so another good reason to join the Club.  Currently there are about half a dozen albums (Covering military / scooters / Police and Twins) - but more will be added shortly (when there is time!) .... in total there are just short of 1000 photo's scanned and being put into albums.

On behalf of his daughter in law ...
"Hello, I am the daughter in-law of Harold Lyons. He lived in Waterlooville Hampshire. I am wondering if you knew him? Sadly he has recently passed away and we are trying to find as many of his ‘biker’ friends to inform them of the funeral arrangements. My email is holliebishop1985@hotmail.co.uk"

The Star and Garter / Clutch Parts
« on: 05 July, 2021, 18:51:49 »
On Behalf of Ken Griggs ...
I've been tidying the garage, and came across a box of old clutch bits.  There are approximately 20-30 clutch plates (plain and friction) in various states. I think they are BSA, but not sure. Free to a good home (collect only Rishton). If nobody wants them, they're going in the recycling skip.

You can message Ken via Facebook .... https://www.facebook.com/kengriggs123

The Star and Garter / What do you think of the website?
« on: 14 August, 2020, 16:55:14 »
I did ask the question before, but think it got lost in the middle of something else! ... so ... any thoughts on the website and the recent updates and additions?  Anything you would like to see? Anything you find tricky to use?  Feedback would be appreciated (but please be constructive  :)  )
(I ought to declare an interest - as I've been helping Rob by scanning in and preparing library material and other bits for the website).

The Star and Garter / BSA Range on Website
« on: 08 July, 2020, 16:59:25 »
For those that haven't spotted it, there is now a "BSA Range" tab on the website home page.  Under this are images of all the BSA models since 1911 (well, the ones we have catalogue copies for) .... just select the year and you can see the models for then.  Hopefully a useful reference - or just interesting to browse (especially some of the prewar ones).
