Triples / new to tripples

Just bought a 68 mk1 rocket 3 to go with my gold star . Its a real jem its done 4300 miles and is totally original . still has its original tyres on . Its a californian import so apart from paint fade it is in very good condition . It has stood since the early 70s but only took an day to have it fired up . Carbs cleaned , oil changed , battery on and 5 kicks . Going through it properly now changing anything that has perished but I'm keeping this one as is . Not to sure about the paint thinking of getting it cleaned , touched up , and lacquered to keep the patina .

Ive finally fixed my leaky taps and they are so easy to turn . years of trying to lap them in and 20 minutes on the lathe with a few o rings . Done both sides and no leaks yet .

Is there a needle valve for a matchbox remote float with a viton tip available . The part number for the brass one is 510/006 but i cant find one that is viton tipped .

If I were to make two new cams , similar to picture , and reverse one of the shoes so that there would be one flat at either side would this then work like a twin leading shoe . I would have to alter the friction material and make operating levers on the outside as well as a separate cable holder but in principle is there any reason why this would not work .

Just finished full restoration . Had SGS inspection today so should get reg number soon . This was before petrol pipes before the astute bring it up .

how quickly should a tank of oil circulate on  BSA single b34 ,  etc . I have sae 50 castrol classic oil in there but the return , when cold -1 c , is bubbly and spitty at best . I know the pump is good as for the first 5 seconds it pumps back solid stream . The engine is completely new inside . Pearson crank , bearings liner piston etc . Just not sure what should be seen returning . Its about half what returns in my b44 with 40 sae classic in it . thanks .

I have just , saturday , bought a bsa gold star . The engine is in many pieces and need quite a lot of sorting . Not sure about the crankshaft ,may buy new one , but it is missing the piston . The bore looks good but is worn / bored / honed to 86.44 . Looks honed but may have been worn then honed . The liner measures in english 3.4035 at the top and 3.4055 at the bottom a rebore would only be 3.4065 that would give me 0003 thou clearance . I believe a +60 is 86.52 . Standard bore is 85mm and 60 though is 1.52mm so it should , In my mind , be doable  . What do you think .
