Hi, I am completely new to rebuilding classic bikes, or anything come to think of it.
My friend and I bought a BSA C15 off eBay for £600 but it needs a lot of work doing to it and parts before it is road-worthy. It is also not registered, however it does have a frame and engine number to go on.
I will no doubt have many questions over the next however long it takes me to finish it, but for starters I need some help with the following:
1. When I rebuild it, I want to use as many original parts as possible, but tweak the paintwork of the frame and tank so they are matt black not gloss black. Will the finish of the bike effect whether or not I can get it registered? ie. does the finish of the bike need to be as close to the original as possible
2. How do I go about getting it registered once it's rebuilt?!
3. I have looked all over youtube and done a bit of searching but no-one seems to have a good visual guide on how to fix up the bike. I have the original manual but the images/diagrams aren't great for a newbie. Does anyone know where I can find one?
Thanks for any responses in advance
