I can reccomend caswells sealant or tankcares products.

Possibly lots of grooves in the clutch drum slots.

I know its a stupid question but the plate has been fitted behind the chainwheel hasnt it.

Have to admit ive never done that much damage to a lock washer at 60ftlb.

Lip raised. But how hard did you tighten it to cause that much damage? Try tightening it with a torque wrench.

Im confused. In pic 5 there are obvious skid marks on the washer. How has that occured if it was locked onto the nut?

Did you put the washer on curve inwards or outwards?

You have the washer, its under the nut.

At a guess its a form of oil flinger.

A standard impact driver normally dods it for me. Have you drilled out the previous punch holes?

Is there a fibre washer under the float valve housing?

Why not get the mag checked over and see if it needs any work to make it reliable.

You can get aerosol shock freeze spray.

Just put the screwdriver in the screw. Just a sharp tap with the hammer will very often break the bond between screw thread and case. Better than force and ramping the screwdriver out of the screw causing damage.

A lot of the times just hitting a normal screwdriver will free the screw.
