Hi does anyone have any info about how to best convert a C15 cylinder head to run on unleaded petrol please ?

Or know a company that does the required work to the head ?

Hi

Sorry in advance for such a mundane question but;

Which oils do people prefer to use for 1953 A10 plunger engine, primary and gearbox please ?

Thanks for the info guys.

I thought this carb looked a little too new for the bike.

Hi

I have started a rebuild of a 1963 BSA Golden Flash 650.

It appears to have had a new carb fitted during a brevious restoration.

it is an Amal 626 R300.

Can anyone tell me which jet sizes would be a good starting point for this carb to suit the engine please ?

Regards   Steve

My first British bike has now turned into a second British bike.

I just aquired a nice original BSA Golden Flash Plunger from 1953 in need of light restoration.

Time to get to work on her.

Hi.

I entered the world of British bike ownership 2 years ago when I bought my 1963 BSA C15 from an ebay auction.

I have been restoring her on and off for the past 2 years, in between restoring mainly Honda Firestorms.

She is almost complete now and her mechanical rebuild at a stage where I will be able to enjoy riding her.

I intend to iron out any mechanical gremlins over this summer and then a full strip and cosmetic rebuild during next winter.

It has been an interesting rebuild and much more challenging than doing Japanese bikes.

I have learned a lot and am still learning each time we do battle.

I have enjoyed it so much that I have recently bought a 1950's BSA A10 Plunger frame and rebuilt engine as the basis for my second British bike build.

I am busy collecting parts and info for the A10 build.

I have also aquired a BSA B31 motor, don't know why, and have that now waiting for inspiration to come my way.
