Thanks for the helpful suggestions. As it turned out, help was not far from home, near Oban and a knowledgeable (but non- BSA) engineer.

Anyone know someone that can make a valve guide for me?

I have a separate post in the pre-war section about the catastrophe that befell my R35-4 where I dropped the head off an exhaust valve.

With help from people on her and other BSA gents, I've almost got everything I need - except a replacement exhaust valve guide - and I've exhausted all conventional sources of that part so it's time to find someone that can make one.

I have the part number, an illustration and a schematic with sizes - does anyone know anyone that could make a guide for me?

I'm only looking for a valve guide now. My lathe skills aren't quite up to that so some engineering skills are needed to make one of these :-

Would that cover my 1935 3.48hp R35-4 OHV de luxe also?

Hi BSA folks.

I have a R35-4 that just dropped an exhaust valve - kerrunch!

I'm looking for replacement valve guides, valves, collars, springs, collets - anything I can get, really.

Or a parts list to help me ID the things I'm looking for.
