This is a standard chronometric bulb holder assembly, it is (assuming your instrument hasn't been altered) exactly what you need. Available almost everywhere you look.

Is it definitely a B40 piston? I have AMC pistons of the same basic bore sizes and I'm sure they have a much bigger gudgeon pin.

How about showing us a picture of the piston crown and any markings on it?
