We also remember Tom and Lynn from our early days with the Club, happy smiling folks.
Last saw them last July at Founders Day, older and frailer but still the same happy smiling couple.
Sad news to start the year :(
RIP Tom

In fairness to Ian Campbell, he made a very decent job of Flash brakes and the Enfield front twin leader.
Which is more than can be said for that Cleckheaton crowd who "relined" the Enfield back brake.

Might this be who you're looking for except it is Ian Campbell

Royal Enfield of that era were grease boxes, the BSA M20/21 are not

Multiple hospital visits have started again :(
Because I was getting quite low I braved our local co-op, just a short wait in line, not all that much more than a normal late afternoon. And the price is unchanged.

It is well known that our local co-op is getting it's regular deliveries. Yet still the prats fill the carpark in a crocodile line for the pumps, why? what for?
Next week there will be a slump in sales when all the lemmings have filled all their cars, lawn mowers, jerry cans, tin cans etc.

Today I drained a gallon of petrol from the Flash into that Infamous Enfield, went for a 50 mile moorland ride.  Scarcely a soul to be seen, not even a lycranazi. Must be all parked outside petrol places

I found washing the dishes to be as good as anything for cleaning garage hands, much to the disgust of 'Er on t' Pillion when she realised what I was doing!

Commiserations Dave, that was real bad luck.

I know only too well that if I've held on the front brake it is not so easy to tap dance about trying to get a boot on the back brake.

A few weeks back when following a lorry up a sharp incline, the driver made a mess of changing down the gear box, stopped and started to roll back. The quite efficient Enfield twin leader front brake is highly inefficient as a twin trailing brake.

And there was me thinking of cyclical variation as the Sturmey Archer gears on my old bicycle.
