Title: Classic British Motorcycles.com
Post by: AdrianS on 05 March, 2018, 16:26:47
Has anyone used this company for parts?

Ordered an exhaust pipe a couple of weeks ago. No goods arrived and no emails answered or phone answered.Googled reviews and it doesnt look good.

They are based in Walsall, West Midlands.
I've got a couple of addresses - think I may pay them a visit..............

I am sure I read something defamatory about them on another forum very recently. Hope you have not lost too much. There must be someone local who can have a peek. Let us know how you get on.

Have got 2 addresses. Not too far from me so will pay a visit over the next week.
Also spoke to the credit card company who started a chargeback claim
But it is not guaranteed - depends if their bank account has funds in it.

There are quite a lot of 'pop up' classic spares shops usually found on ebay. Some of them are asian guys, like the one I used in Walsall (different address) from which I got excellent service. (The text used in the T's & C's and about us sections are usually a give away)
These guys tend to sell a lot of Indian sourced parts as they have contacts there. Hence like me, you can get a pattern speedo drive gearbox for 10 including postage so 7.50 and they are making a profit on that!
The phone no. is a Birmingham no. so that will be their warehouse/lockup. The address will be the guys house (the one I used actually lived in the same road I grew up in).
You pays your money and takes your chance as they say!
Chris

Yes... I ordered some parts for my B31 back in October- part of the order arrived with a note to say the outstanding would be shipped the following week- never arrived- tried phone evrey day for 2 weeks with no reply- emailed loads of times and even sent a couple of letters by snail mail- no response whatsoever- I eventually assumed they had either ceased trading or had suffered some catastrophe and gave it up as a bad job
