Title: C15T resto conversion to C15S
Post by: garyp on 11 November, 2021, 13:14:22
Hi All,
Iv just picked up my 1959 C15T rolling chassis and a lot of boxes of bits.
I intend to convert it to a C15S the best i can with the intention of racing in next seasons Pre 65 here in Essex.
As far as i know all the numbers match Frame No. C15S 267 Engine No. C15T 139 which confirms it is 1959
Does any one have any more detail on this bike? it has a V5 registration number 653 XUR and I am the 5th owner.
There is some odd ball things though for instance the piston is a BSA 40-0635 +1mm I cant find this part number in any list or book.
Has anyone ever seen this number?
Plus does any one know were i can get a 10.1 piston part number 40-0648 as i can only find one in the states.
garyp.

It sounds as if the reg number was an age related issued one around 2007. My Shooting Star nuMber was issued in 2007 XUE.
