Can anyone give advice on where to buy Spanner nut removal tools (sockets) for pre war BSA Spanner nuts?
I have Spanner hand tools, but I would like to find Spanner nut sockets. Similar to the photo attached.
Thanks in advance.

I know that they are available for the post war range. I seem to remember that I read about a Peugeot car axle nut tool fitted.

This is what I bought for my 1940 WM20 Cush Nut and it is indeed a Peugeot ball joint removal tool as mentioned by idie.

Thank you for the great advice. I did find the tool you suggested and have ordered it, the Peugeot axle nut removal tool looks to be the correct dimension according to the description posted on the website.
Thanks again for helping me out finding this tool!

Performance Engineering Services Ltd. Will have some hardened and tempered ones by the end of the year.

As you've shown me yours, I thought I'd show you mine. As you can see, it took but a few moments to make, and works well. But please bear in mind that I am both a Dullard and a Bodger.
It seems to me that the Peugeot item will have a metric hexagon, necessitating the purchase of a metric socket. But I suppose you could use a pair of Stilsons, like what I do.

The "Laser" brand tool takes a 35mm socket.

The nut needs to be undamaged or the tool will not fit.
