Just got my A50 fixed so that I can actually get on it.

I know the RH exhaust is off. Wanted to take pics before the rain. I'd just ridden it for the first time. Where the colour looks a bit funny, its the light

Interesting modification there Mike.. One thing, the bike now has the best brakes any A50 could ever hope to have!!

I think that the calipers are VW. The hand brake system is electrically operated. Each activator is a door "closer" adapted by Lee at Fastrikes. Excellent system especially for anyone who has an impairment, no effort required.  The front brake is an adapted reliant hydraulic rear brake in a BSA 7" drum. Adapted by me.

Excellent Mike!

glad to see there's life in the old dog yet!

What is your next project going to be now?

Keep well  :D

Hi Derek

I've just got the bottom end parts back from SRM for the Golden Goose. Just had the crank balanced roller bearings and timing side bush made to suit for wear etc. Flywheel stripped and put back with new bolts.  As this will probably be my very last last project (unless--well you know what I mean) I'm seriously thinking of putting one of the super clutches in.

Currently working on my son's A65 and Sloper. (thats another name for nightmare).

Take care and keep the pipes piping.

Nice job and yes indeed that's going to be the best rear brake ever on a classic Brit bike :)
