A50 frame number question.

Is a VIN number like this normal or is it a replacement frame ?

Hi Mick,

I would say that it is a replacement frame. Usually supplied to a dealer who would stamp the scrapped frame number on it.

Thats a modern repo Mick.. I've attached a pic of original Smiths speedo from my 1970 project A65 Firebird.

You are right about that Ian. I just spoke with the bloke who owned the bike before the bloke I bought it from, he said the replaced the speedo.
