Does anyone make a high level exhaust conversion for theses bikes, that does not involve welding or having to remove anything from a standard bike so it fits? TIA! I note the T25 has something similar, but has a welded bracket on the frame, plus maybe some subtle other differences too? Cheers.
If it ain't broke- fix it 'til it is!!

I'm sure I got mine from Armours

I assume your frame is earlier than 1969?  The later frames had tabs welded on both sides to accomodate high level exhaust fitment. On the US spec as attached, pipe ran down LHS.

My '69 Starfire frame has a couple of holes by the trailing edge of the nearside side panel that looks like it would hold a high level exhaust bracket.

They're may even be a matching one on the offside too but I'd have to check. I thought the frames could accept either high or low level exhausts with out modification, but like everything, it may have changed year on year.

They are just on the trailing edge of the side panels.

Couldn't say at year,, but it's a 71 reg, no tabs on mine, either side. Wouldn't want to weld any on either, but if there was a bolt on option, that would be acceptable. Cheers.

What about finding a suitable 'P' clamp? This could be positioned to suit the silencer bracket in a position similar to the welded on tabs.
