 :) :) :)

This is a 1962 built A50 first reg Feb 1963 Converted three years ago. Never been really used that much. Now has a Virago 535cc front end(Not shown) Because it has to be MOT'd and dear ol Beesa front brake couldn't cope. Independant rear Suspension with custom differential, VW brake discs, fully hydraulic braking front and rear. Electric hand brake. Yep cost a lot. But I cant ride a bike now.

Hope the pics come out.

Hi Mike, not everyone would approve but I think you have done a great job especially if it keeps you riding. Either ill health or old age, or both, catch up with us all eventually and I have had to sell my beloved Rocket 3, owned from new, because it was too heavy for me due to getting old. I now have a Bantam and still have my 3 pre-war BSA outfits but rarely ride them now as they are very heavy, although 3 wheels means there is less likelihood of me falling off! Happy riding, Alan

Hi.

Thats the problem--cant ride anymore, Getting off is easy but getting on is next to impossible. I can understand the stance of some of the purists, however no-one at this stage has said anything detrimental. But anyway it was done to please me and have probably the only one in the world. Show off ????.

Thanks for your kind words. I have another A65 Star on the bench almost finished-Very non Standard. Plus an A65 laying about in various places. I think I know where the bits are but not sure. I found the Auto Advance Unit in the bathroom the other day.

My first A65 was Ex Birmingham Police and I am trying to put this Bitsa one in Police Spec (almost).
