Here in the USA I can't find any decal sets for a 67 A65. Are there any sources for them in the UK? Thanks, Gary

I think the side panel decal for a 1967 BSA A65 is as shown in the link below. Not sure whether you were after more than these? Normally the only other decal I've ever fitted to the average BSA bike restoration is the oil level decal on the oil tank.

Hi,
The owners club in the UK have them, are you a member?

Best wishes

Thanks for the help. Being this is my first BSA restoration, other than the side cover decals, I don't know how many or where other decals go that were on the bike. Is this information out there? Thanks, Gary

Hi,
There are locations for decals on BSAOC members area. In the area try "transfers" for a general written location and "BSA photograph archive" for a visual location.

Best wishes...

Where would the "made in England" decal go on a U.S. version?

The BSAOC handbook I have does not indicate where the 'Made in England' transfer goes - I don't know whether the BSAOC web site gives any more information?

Common sense to some extent would tell you the transfer should go on the near side of the bike which, in the US, will be the right-hand side. The choice mentioned by others is either on the side of the head stock or on the front down tube. However, the wiring harness and throttle cables run against the RHS of the headstock and, if this does not leave enough space for the transfer to be positioned so it isn't rubbed, the choice might have to be on the RHS of the front down tube.

Try classictransfers.co.uk they do transfers and decals for all bikes and numerous other uses.

Thanks for the response. I'm presently waiting for decals from classic transfers as suggested by bikerbob. Classic site says Made in England is for 60's-70's bikes and "frame" is the location.  I can't access the BSAOC not being a member, being 4000 miles away from the UK. Thanks again. Gary

 :) :) :) :)

My thoughts are that you can access site as a guest. Tho in truth there are some exclusion (members only) ares. I'm not sure which they are .

If you are interested and would like to send me an address I'll send you a copy of the monthly magazine.  You may find it useful. Of course you could always join us,

Had a look to see if I could find a picture of an A65 showing the 'Made in England' transfer. The only one I could find is shown below, albeit a 1971 model.

This is a US model and so, naturally, the transfer is on the right-hand side (there isn't one on the other side). As said, it's difficult to place it on the side of the headstock in the US because it would probably get rubbed away by the harness and cables and so it has been placed on the side of the front down tube.

However, I can't help thinking the transfer is upside down with the word 'Made' upper most - I might have been tempted to turn it though 180 degs?

Here is the LHS headstock of my 1970 pre-OIF Firebird (from the USA) as purchased showing the 'Made in England' transfer which I believe to be Factory original.

Forgot to add my picture - you can just about make out the 'Made in England' transfer!

Thanks for the picture and responses. When I get the decals that's where I'll put it. Looks original to me too. Gary
