Fascinating photo - do you know where it was taken? The two new machines in the foreground appear to be Norton Dominator Delux's which would make the photo from the early 1960's.

my first thought was westgate road in newcastle . on a hill and motorcycle shops on both sides . down to about a dozen now but thirty in its  hay day .
1956 bsa GS DB500
1968 mk1 Rocket 3
2006 ducati 999R .

I've had a quick look and nothing seems to match the buildings so far but it looks like a good starting place.
