Tank Decals
« on: 02 January, 2018, 16:16:54 »
My OIF bread bin Petrol Tank has just gone into the paint shop. I want to get decent BSA decals-transfers. Has anyone got and good suggestions as I don't want them lifting off. The tank is being sprayed Deep Impact Blue, a new pearl colour by Ford. I thought about red decals. Help please. Thanks.

It's best nowadays to use vinyl decals - Image Works is one of the best suppliers:

You could try the BSAOC!

I believe the BSAOC uses Classic Transfers for their decals - although a lot of their available decals are vinyl, quite a lot are water slide. The advantage of the Image Works is that they can do bespoke decals rather than just catalogue items with a relatively quick turnaround.

I bought the correct decals from Graham, the Regalia Officer BSAOC and the are the stick on type which are much better than the water slide. However you only get one chance so make sure its in the correct position before it touches the tank as you can't reposition them. The benefit is, they look great and as its only the gold line that is actually stuck on, there is no oblong clear patch to crinkle up when lacquering over the top.
They are ref 005 and are £2.50 a pair (+ £1 postage) contact regalia@bsaownersclub.co.uk
