BSA 350cc OH sloper 1930 Cylinder base shim
« on: 22 December, 2017, 15:15:16 »
I am restoring a BSA Sloper. The engine has a high compression piston and I wonder how thick the cylinder base shim is supposed to be. Spare part number for the shim is 15-1068 and for the piston 15-810.

Best regards Hans

HI Hans,

I cannot help greatly with spares. There were not a lot of these made, 1600 I believe. Some items are that same for the 500 versions which were more plentiful.

How complete is your bike and what are you looking for?

regards

Greg

Hello Greg!
What I need is mudguards, tool box, clutch lever, saddle cover(Terry) and the rear stand. Well a few smaller items but they are possible to manufacture myself.

Hans,

There is a Czech guy on Ebay, who makes excellent pattern parts.  He uses the name Joseph60.7771. I have bought a few myself and the quality is excellent. I know he makes the toolbox and the rear stand. The clutch levers turns up on Ebay regularly so that shouldn't be too difficult.

Kind regards,
Leon

I bought a good quality rear stand for my 500 Sloper from "British Only Austria"
