A7 Star Twin

The all-rounder. 40 years of tremendous fun so far. Trail riding, touring, long distance commuting, long distance trials. As all-rounders go, it takes some beating.

Great Pictures. Where was the 2nd one taken?
Was it an event or were you out enjoying yourself?

The one of me in my youthful days was taken in Little Glen Shee, out for a trail ride. My wife was accompanying me on her A10. The recent grey haired old man one was taken at home in one of our fields near Biggar.
Here's another one of it at the Pass of the Cattle - Bealach na Ba.

Lovely motorcycle.  I am currently reading the book "Where BSAs Dare" the story of BSA's 1952 ISDT Golds and Maudes Trophy success using three standard Star Twins.  Great bikes and a great story.

And the Star Twin shares the shed with my wife's A10.

Glad you liked the picture Steve. These machines are used as ordinary transport and the longer distance the better. One son has made off with my copy Where BSAs Dare. If he's inspired, there will be a fight - the other son intends to inherit the Star Twin. Not
that I am in any rush to depart this mortal coil! Gordon.
