Twins / Rocker box studs
« on: 17 November, 2017, 15:05:16 »
Help please.....I have removed the cast head off my super Rocket and replaced it with a 67-1549 alloy head. On the cast head, the 4 corner studs on my rocker box pass through the cast head and tighten the nuts from underneath. However, when I offer up the rocker box to the alloy head, they are 2ins short and not long enough to pass through the alloy head. Is there anywhere I can purchase the longer studs or advice please? Many Thanks....Malcolm.

Twins / Carburation
« on: 09 August, 2017, 14:59:15 »
Apologies firstly....this is not to do with my Super Rocket but my 1960 T120 Bonneville. The bike runs and ticks over very well, however, I have noticed that the left exhaust pipe and silencer is only warm, whereas, the right side is running hot. Can anyone on the forum give me any idea of the problem? both cylinders are firing very well! Thanks in anticipation.....Malcolm.

Twins / Speedo drive into gearbox
« on: 20 March, 2017, 18:36:48 »
The speedo drive cable of my Super Rocket screws into what appears to be a threaded nipple at the base of the gearbox and it looks like I have a slight oil leak from the nipple. My question is; is this nipple screwed into the front cover or is it part of the casting? the nipple has no flats to tighten it with a spanner, but is ROUND and won't move with a pair of water pump pliers. Thanks in anticipation....Malcolm.
