On fitting the exhaust front pipe to the cylinder head of my C15, I was surprised there is no gasket or sealant to make it a gas tight seal, or am I missing something. any comments please,

Singles / Parts to stop handle bars hitting tank on full turn
« on: 19 November, 2018, 16:28:31 »
During a recent MOT for my 1967 C15, The tester listed in the advisory section that the handlebars had no "Buffer" when on full lock to avoid coming into contact with the fuel tank. I noticed on the bottom yoke there are screw holes which something screws into this to fulfil this requirement. I have trawl through all my parts/ workshop manuals and can see nothing. anybody had a similar problem or can send me picture of how its achieved on their bike.

Singles / Riders L/H footrest
« on: 28 November, 2017, 14:21:41 »
The LHT nut holding the riders L/H footrest has stripped on my C15. The thread on the Tapered/splined stud has also stripped, requiring a replacement Stud. to say the set up to hold the footrest onto the frame  is over engineered is an understatement. I am in the process of removing the stud from the frame. Can anybody tell me if it is left hand or right hand thread on the stud that screws into the frame.
thanks

Singles / Internal Incontinece
« on: 23 June, 2017, 10:56:06 »
I have just removed the inner crankcase cover from my C15 (Distributor model), and found it full of oil. I understand this should not be the case and the fault lies with the NRV on the feed side. Unfortunately this can only be accessed by splitting the engine. has anybody else had similar problems and overcome it by fitting a extra NRV or solenoid valve on the feed line? as I would prefer not to dismantle the engine to get at the existing valve.
