The Star and Garter / Sad News From Belgium
« on: 10 March, 2024, 09:05:41 »
Anyone that's been to a Belgium branch camp would've seen Wim, who happens to be the father of Els, you might remember her as the Monk in the beer tasting John Bull rally a few years back. Sorry to hear that Wim past away last week... :'(

The Star and Garter / Another moan....Sorry
« on: 05 February, 2022, 14:14:32 »
OK I KNOW the Belgium's haven't sent a proper flyer into the Editor of the Star, BUT Shirley we could just have had the dates of the John Bull in the events calendar....?

Then I find that the International booking form is all in Euros, and worse of all they want you to book via their website, what happened to the good old, cut out the page and post away your cheque...?

If there's one thing I hate, that's being forced to use a poxy computer.... >:(

Sod this modern World and all this *Its so much more easy*  IF I wanted to be all 'Modern' I wouldn't be riding BSA's would I.... ???

OK that's me lot, I'm off to fill me Primus with Paraffin and cook a bacon sarnie.... ;D

The Star and Garter / John Bull 2022
« on: 16 January, 2022, 10:51:44 »
Most disappointed that the John Bull Rally wasn't advertised in the Star this month, and yet, I've had a non-member send me the flyer over the internet... :(

After all we've had to put up with, any suggestion of freedom, I would've thought, should have been given a front page setting....Or is that just me.... :-\

Anyway, the A10 has had a new set of rings, the train is booked, and I've just got enough space for the French to stamp me passport, see you in a Belgium field with a glass of Palm..... ;D

The Star and Garter / I was Right Shock....!

A Norton/BMW owning chum, joined the BSAOC so he could come to this year's International Rally. And after a full week of fun in the rain, riding a loaned bike, and being brow beating by me. He's now on the look out for an M21 or M33... ;D

Soon another fine machine from our beloved make, will be on the roads once more. Who said you can't force people into getting a BSA... :D

The Star and Garter / Norfolk Camp
« on: 11 June, 2018, 07:54:05 »
Well done to the Norfolk branch for the wonderful camp they put on, my chums and I had a fantastic time, always a bloody good camp this one. And it's getting very popular, which means a ton of hard work for the Norfolk lot. Which is most appreciated, looking forward to the next one already... ;D

Very sad news I'm sorry to say, no easy way to say it, so...

Richard passed away at home on Thursday 15th June...

Cause unknown at the moment, the lad was just 52 years old, I for one will be missing him at the International in Holland... :'(
