Hi all , well where do i start ?? After a nearly successful build i took the 1965 a65 lightning for its first mot in 40 + years engine starts second kick as usual and away i went, only discovering it only has 1st and 2nd gears , so when i got home (shed) i decided to check the gears out , all was fine only then to check the web for info finding out it was a simple scool boy error selector spring , all the gears work good now, in doing thus i removed the wassell electronic ignition plate and pick up " big mistake " i canot get the thing to run well , it coughs spluters and the lowest backfires ive had the pleasure to hear, cutting the story short can anyone help with the procedure of setting up timing using wassell ignition to help preserving the remainder of my hearing!! Thank👍

You tube is the answer, now that the timing is alot better theres still a missfire under load, thinking it could be the carbs as one of the plugs is black, any help would be great!!
