Title: 1957 Super Rocket
Post by: JulianS on 07 March, 2017, 19:04:38
Has anyone got one or actually seen the 1957 export only Super Rocket?

A photo would be interesting.

They came out in Spring 1957 as as far as I know were only exported mainly to the USA.

Photo from 1957 East Coast US brochure.

The second photo is reverse of service sheet 39 from August 1957 refers to R/Rocket with modified head from engine CA10R 4501 - CA10R 5000 and Super Rocket from engine CA10R 4650 and fitted in EA7 frame.

No but I do like the pedestrian emasculator on the front mudguard on the brochure.

There is a road test published on The Super Rocket Homepage.  It may be in this that I saw it referred too a a Super Road Rocket.
The fender ornament does cast an interesting if slightly lewd shadow when the sun is to the side!
