Title: TRike
Post by: Mike Farmer on 03 March, 2017, 10:00:12
Good morning all.

I am contemplating a trike as I can't get on and of anymore.  Of course a move like this comes with all the usual "buts"

So I was discussing it with a friend of similar age and problems.

His answer    Adventure before Dimensia.

Guess that about says it all

I can thoroughly recommend a BSA Trike.
It has the added advantage of giving you greater confidence in bad weather...e.g. :)

 :) Hi

Thats nothing short of superb. Thanks for sharing.

However I actually meant something like a goldwing conversion etc..  Having seen that I might convert my A50 as I've got nothing to do next weekend. Ho Ho Ho.

I know at least a couple of guys in the club have done BSA trike conversions. Hopefully they will post on here.

Graham from Yorkshire has done a large A65 based trike.

A simpler option is of course the sidecar. Many may sneer but they can be an absolute hoot.

Don't give up on the sidecar idea. They just take a bit of practice. They are very practical. There's a beauty for sale in the Star this month at  a very reasonable price. Just change the fork springs and engine sprocket and a couple fo hours work setting up and you're sorted.

Are you sure I can't persuade you to rethink...look at some of the doors an outfit will open for you...

I think you've just put everyone of sidecars, but this thread has left me grinning from ear to ear.

Don't forget you will need three wheels to achieve this :) :)

:)Three wheels aint a problem. Its joining the back two for less than a lotta loot that's my main problem--We'll see :) 8)
