Title: Machine dating for age related plate.
Post by: Calvin on 31 December, 2017, 13:59:42
Hi.
Do I still have to send in photos to get a report to send to DVLA.
Or will a club official come and see the bike.

Thanks

There is a good description of the process involved under the Machine Dating tab on the BSAOC web site. As explained, the machine has to be ready for the road with an MOT and insurance in order to get an age related registration. As a minimum, you need a collection of good photos of the bike + rubbings of frame and engine number. I believe the Dating Officer will decide whether a physical examination of the bike is necessary in the first instance.
