Title: Rocker box studs
Post by: malzstx on 17 November, 2017, 15:05:16
Help please.....I have removed the cast head off my super Rocket and replaced it with a 67-1549 alloy head. On the cast head, the 4 corner studs on my rocker box pass through the cast head and tighten the nuts from underneath. However, when I offer up the rocker box to the alloy head, they are 2ins short and not long enough to pass through the alloy head. Is there anywhere I can purchase the longer studs or advice please? Many Thanks....Malcolm.

Most dealers should be able to offer you the correct length studs together with the sleeve nuts fitted at the carb end.

Try Kidderminster Motorcycles, old school service and good advice. They advertise in OBM.
