Title: Rigid b31 brake pedal spindle retaining nut
Post by: chrisgoodwin on 25 August, 2017, 13:25:39
Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can help out.
I am trying to source a stainless nut to fit the rear brake spindle, the outer nut that retains the foot pedal.
However, I cannot find the correct thread, I have twice ordered the wrong nuts and I now think I need a 9/16" x 20 TPI nut.
Can anyone confirm or correct me, if you pardon the pun, its driving me nuts!
Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,
Sounds about right. BSA were using CycleThread at the time and 9/16 x20TPI is one such thread. This odd size is used on the Ariel swinging arm through shaft. Acme Stainless do them at 2.00 each. acmestainless.co.uk if you want to take a look.
