Title: A65 fuel tank
Post by: christoff on 08 August, 2017, 14:00:57
Hi  all
I have posted this message before but I think it got lost in the system somewhere?
I,m trying to restore my 1963 A65 royal star but I,m getting confusing ideas on the fue tank fixng, one idea as suggested by Julian (who is invariably correct) is shown in the diagrams he sent but I have seen for sale large rubber fixings as used in the c15 but which one is correct?
Help please

If, when you look into the centre hole in the tank, you see a cup then it takes a small rubber which sits in it.

If you see a plain tube then it takes the later C15 type large diameter rubber.

Photo shows late C15 type left and A65/A10 type right.
